MFA WORK
BOOK DESIGN. PRINT DESIGN. TYPE DESIGN.

In the fall of 2023, I began pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design at Boston University. While I ultimately made the difficult decision to step away from the program before completing the degree, my time there was formative. Through a range of studio courses, I was able to build on interests developed during my undergraduate studies and push deeper into my personal design practice and explore new process.
My projects spanned publication design, posters, modular type systems, and beyond, with a particular focus on the boundaries between typography and editorial form. I was especially drawn to researching the role of craftsmanship—its origins, evolution under Western influence, and its relevance in today’s rapidly shifting design and technology landscape. This period of study reinforced my belief in design as both a technical and tactile practice, rooted in intention, experimentation, and material understanding.
